This website sucks. There's nothing proving ANYTHING here. Just an accusation, some pics, and an audio of someone winning a prize. Where's the call that exposed them? So, I can just basically put anyone's pic up here and say whatever I want about them and watch all you suckers say, "Yeah, look at that guy, what a jerkoff!" Yep he should be charged with theft, as by the law that's what it is. It is up to the station I believe if they want to push charges or not -- probably not as it would simply lead to heaps of negative publicity.

Now it has come to light that this is a regular thing and Ashlea has won prizes from Nova before including an ipod, concert tickets and party passes. This is such a disappointing thing for Nova listeners and for Nova. Thank you Nova for being professional about it.

I am pretty sure there are regulations and laws governing the running of competitions, and I am pretty sure that conspiring to commit fraud is of concern to the department of racing and gaming

Whether he/she/they should stand trial for fraud/stealing I am doubtful.

I do however endorse Nova's decision to terminate his employment immediately, as his actions were a breach of the terms and conditions under which the prize money was awarded.

The conversation they are having is a casual one between presenter and caller off air. I used to work at a radio station and these conversations do sound similar, when you are in work mode at the mic you tend to speak like he is. In this particular conversation He sounds flippant, not hesitant about divulging the details - this means he is either ignorant of the rules repocussions (I doubt it... if so, ignorance is absolutely no excuse in his profession) or thick.

As a side note, Ashley does not, at first pictorial glance, look like the sort of person who is in need of ten thousand dollars. One should not assume anything of course, but I think I am safe in this particular case, and I heard the competition repeated the next day in which a mother of 4 with mounting debts won the money. Good on you love, put it to good use, dont squander it, give yourself some financial freedom.
